Karen Medeiros – Secretary

Karen Medeiros

I am a short 4 foot 11 inch tall, sweet 52 year old Grammie of 5 (soon to be 6 in August 2019) so being active is a daily routine.  I am a firm believer that you will never know your true limits if you don’t try anything. My height has been an issue for many obstacles but it has never stopped me from trying!  So far the only obstacle that has stopped me is a field and track hurdle…it comes up to my shoulders! Oh, and did I mention that I’m a great cheerleader!!

I have experience in many fields from secretarial work to financial high risk analysis but my true love and passion is teaching/training others.  My husband, Paul, and I volunteer for several children’s charities, here and abroad, and believe Find Your Bold emphasizes what we truly stand for, short and sweet (no pun intended)…turning obstacles into opportunities.  You can’t succeed without failing first so the next time you face an obstacle and it knocks you down, try again as many times as you need to succeed and if necessary, ask for help.

Paul Medeiros – Treasurer

Paul has a passion for helping children that face obstacles in life focusing mainly with medical and learning disabilities. He along with his wife Karen volunteer with multiple local charities that meet this criterion. He has served as a youth leader, worked with children in housing projects and helps raise funds for a children’s hospital overseas. Paul has volunteered with Boldrdash and Find Your Bold for the past 3 years and is looking to use his prior Board experience to make a greater impact with Find Your Bold.  Paul enjoys being outdoors and participating in OCR events, running 5K’s, hiking, kayaking, riding his mountain bike and doing puzzles He is currently training for his first half marathon and his third 150-mile bike ride through the desert and mountains as part of his children’s hospital fundraiser. Paul has worked at UPS for 24 years and currently works in the Engineering department as a logistical analyst.

Erin Doughty – General Board & Co-Chair Event Committee

Erin joined the Find Your Bold team in 2017 for the Rocky Point Bold R Dash. As her first obstacle course race, Erin loved the support and encouragement from the FYB team and plans to run all future Bold R Dash races with the team. She loves to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys Pilates and Bootcamp activities. Erin has gone through a personal journey of weight loss and fitness over the past two years, losing nearly 100 lbs through healthy diet and exercise regimens. Erin has worked for Citizens Bank for 17 years as a business analyst and project manager.

Jane Bennett – General Board Member & Event Committee Member

My name is Jane Bennett and I am a District Manager for Lids. I worked in retail for 25 years with 15 of those as a DM. I am a Certified Personal Trainer as well. Although I have not had any official clients as of yet, my passion for fitness began about 4 years ago. I have always struggled with being extremely overweight and because of that did not allow myself to enjoy life. I have lost over 80 pounds since June of 2015 through a lifestyle change of my diet and physical activity and the help of some very important people. In Sept of 2016, I did my first Boldrdash race. This race for me defined the Find Your Bold concept. The race was more than just a physical accomplishment for me, It allowed me to overcome life barriers and gave me confidence in other areas of my life. I started working with FYB to help others overcome life obstacles and find their own BOLD.
